Employers
Welcome to the Employers section. See the links on the left to find out more about what ITQ is all about and how to get started finding a training provider or which employees will gain the most achieving ITQ.
Successful employers have well-trained employees and IT confidence is certainly a key skill required in many of today’s workplaces. Whether a young person is bringing fresh, new approaches straight from College or University to your organisation or whether someone wishes to build a new career with you at a later stage in life, then these members of staff should be willing to embrace training to meet your IT requirements. ITQ 2009 is the ideal qualification to select for this training and recognition of IT skills.
What is new about ITQ 2009?
Having considered to invest time and possibly money in ITQ training you want to ensure your employees are given every opportunity to extend their IT skills and knowledge as well as simply apply them in the workplace. ITQ 2009 is still a flexible qualification, allowing employers to select the Units most suitable for their employee, but it is now broader and allows for depth of achievement and so there is potential for progression at various levels.
As an Employer you might want to consider these questions:
- Have you considered all the ITQ 2009 Units to identify which ones would be suitable for each employee? There is a wide choice available and the Office applications might not always be the best choice according to an employee’s role and responsibility at work.
- Have you indicated the required level of skills or depth of achievement needed for an employee to do his/her job? Is the Provider suggesting a Level 1 when you would like your employee to be stretched to achieve Level 2? You may wish your employee to achieve an Award or a Certificate. How will you choose?
- How quickly do you need your employee to achieve? Is time important and how will you indicate this to your Provider?
